The Coombs Inn, a romantic Florida Bed and Breakfast located in an elegant Victorian mansion, welcomes guests to experience historic charm in an intimate setting. The Bed and breakfast consists of The Mansion and Veranda Suites (1905), and The Villa (1911). The Bed and breakfast is filled with antiques, oil paintings and oriental carpets from all over the world. We have 13 decorative original Florida fireplaces and 23 bathrooms. Our Florida Bed and Breakfast is located in the heart of Apalachicola's historical district, where the Apalachicola River and Bay converge - part of what is commonly called Florida's Forgotten Coast.

We are close to superb fishing and boating, and the excellent beaches of St. George Island and Cape San Blas. Leave the car behind at the bed and breakfast and walk to all the restaurants, gift shops, museums, and theatre. In order to maintain a quality experience for our guests, we do not permit smoking inside the bed and breakfast.

Add a touch of Romance to your evening by adding our Romance Package to your reservation. On arrival Chilled Champagne, two etched Coombs Inn souvenir Champagne flutes, and Ghirardelli Chocolates will await you in your room.

Enjoy a Sunset River Cruise on the Eco Explorer. Native wildlife such as birds and dolphins await you on this very special guided tour. We suggest you enhance your experience by adding the Romance or Snack Pack Packages. The tour lasts approximately one hour.

Going to our beautiful beaches or up the river/sunset cruise? Exploring Lighthouses? Taking a trip on our complimentary bicycles? Our deluxe picnic basket is a wonderful addition to your trip. Perfect for lunch on the beach! Specially prepared for you by our chef, this picnic basket for two includes sandwiches, chips, wine and home baked cookies.

The Coombs House Inn, with its nostalgic atmosphere of a more tranquil, by-gone era, provides just the right setting for this most important of family occasions.

Camellia Hall is the Coombs House Inn's spacious meeting room, the perfect place for a memorable wedding reception. The room can accommodate a hundred reception guests, and others may gather on the veranda or stroll the lawn. A sit-down luncheon or dinner for up to 60 persons can also be arranged.

Corporate Retreats

Located behind the Coombs House East is Camellia Hall, our meeting hall for groups and social events. At 840 square feet (23 x 36'), it can seat 60 people comfortably. It has a kitchenette sink, coffee maker, piano, hutch, bathroom,  3 ceiling fans & central cool/heat. The decor features forest green carpet, pastel yellow painted walls, and tropical print drapes. The 6 French doors offer plenty of light and open to the wood deck and shaded back lawn with Gazebo.

If you wish to extend your event outdoors, this area could be set up with tables and chairs under tents (rentals available nearby). You have complimentary use of our 8 folding tables & 70 indoor padded chairs. We have four 54" round tables (6-7 chairs) & four 8' rectangular tables (8-10 chairs). Local catering available.
