Romantic Wine Country Retreats

Seeking a romantic getaway to rekindle or start a new relationship? The Inn at Occidental overlooks the quiet village of Occidental. Minutes away from some of the Russian River's bouquet wineries or some of Sonoma's coast spectacular beaches. No competition from wall mounted TV's or buzzing cell phones only the towering redwoods and our beautiful courtyard garden with a bubbling fountain surrounded by roses. Stay in one of our spacious courtyard rooms with fire place, whirlpool soaking tub and private deck or porch. Upon arrival you will be greeted with a bottle of Sonoma Champagne, 4 hand crafted truffles and a dozen roses. Make sure you let us know that special message you want on the card. Girlfriend Getaway Retreats

Great setting for a girlfriends gathering in the village of Occidental. Surrounded by redwoods, orchards and vineyards. Occidental is about an hour north of the Golden Gate Bridge. Enjoy a day of wine tasting at some of Sonoma's boutique vineyards only minutes from the Inn. Stroll down the hill in the evening to dine at one of several Occidental restaurants.

This Girlfriend Getaway is for two nights in our 2000 square foot Cottage adjacent to the Inn. Each of the two bed rooms can be either configured as a twin or left as a king and has its own bathroom, fireplace, whirlpool soaking tub and air conditioning. The cottage features a spacious living room for informal gatherings or watching an old movie or playing games.

Courtyard Wedding Retreats

The outdoor garden courtyard is an ideal location for a reception or ceremony for up to 104 people. Surrounded by an English-cottage garden and bubbling fountain, it requires little decoration. There is also space for a dance floor in the southeast corner.

The courtyard is available only with the rental of the entire inn; otherwise, room guests would walk through your reception area. When renting the entire inn, we include all 16 rooms and the Sonoma Cottage plus the use of the dining room and all its amenities, the patio, living room, and veranda. Most wedding parties rent the Inn for two nights, Friday and Saturday. You have the exclusive use of the Inn from 3 p.m. on the first day to noon on the last day.

Corporate Retreats

Our Inn, combined with your colleagues, family, or friends, is a wonderful Sonoma County getaway. Whether it's a shareholder's retreat or a wine tasters' club, our thoughtful staff will create the perfect atmosphere for your event. We offer formal and informal meeting space and accommodations for your corporate retreats.

The dining room is great for your larger events, our 750-square-foot Dining Room offers the best location for formal meetings, roundtable discussions, and presentations. The French doors open to a 400-square-foot attached patio, which can be tented for more seating space and meals. Boardroom seating: 20 people. Banquet seating: 48 people.
